At the 2021 SBC Awards in North America, several operators were admired for their assistance to the gambling business, including Scientific Games, BetMGM, IGT PlaySports, and DraftKings.

More than 400 spectators, including more than 400 sports betting and gambling executives from the United States and Canada, attended the opening ceremony at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate the industry’s accomplishments over the past year.

Organized at the ceremony by Yes Network Yankee reporter Meredith Marakovits, BetMGM was named Casino Operator of the Year and DraftKings Bookmaker of the Year. In other operator categories, GAN had voted as Social Gambling operator of the year, And Bally Interactive won the rising star of the year award by independent judges. PointsBet received the Sponsorship and marketing campaigns award, and Entain won the Socially Responsible Operator of the year award.

The gambling company Scientific Games Corporation wins the Employer of the year award. Richard Schwartz is co-founder and president of Rush Street Interactive awarded the leader of the year award. According to Rasmus Soimark, chief executive officer of news, media, and events company SBC, the contest for the Awards has been intense at all levels and it showed all the progress the industry has made over the last 3 years.

“Huge congratulations to all the winners selected by our independent judging panels. To have succeeded against such a high standard of opposition is a real mark of quality that the team from the victorious companies can be very proud of,” – he said.

Gambling.com Group and Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) took home their Sports and Casino Affiliate titles, while Catena Media took silver in both categories for their good track record. IGT PlaySports had a booming vendor night, receiving awards for land-based gambling and gaming platforms and product vendors and silver in the ArdentSky Industrial Innovation of the Year category.

Boom Entertainment won the Rising Star of Sports and Casino betting. OpenBet was named the Sports Betting Provider award, and Sportridar collected the award in Sports Betting Product / Sports Data Category. Scientific Games Corporation is a US-based gambling company that won 2nd place in Lottery Provider of the Year. Evolution casino was named Casino Supplier of the year.

The performance marketing platform Intelitics won the title of Marketing and Service Provider. Optimove received the award in Acquisition & Retention Partner category. Compliance Solution & Partner title has been given to USAbility. Sightline has won the Payment Solutions award. The winner of the Solutions Innovation Award is Nuvei.

Rasmus Sojmark also said that they are thankful to all the sponsors of the SBC Awards for their service and support in making this event a great opportunity. He further added that they expect the awards to take place for the second time in July 2022. The ceremony happened on the last night of the 2021 SBC Summit, the top seminar, and exhibition for igaming and sports gambling. The SBC 2022 Summit will again happen on July 12-14 at the Meadowlands Expo Center in New Jersey.
