Jared Ingles is The New Winner at Harrah CasinoCherokee Main Event closed after a nine-hour-long round on day 3. The day started with 17 participants but there was only one person who took the victory – the American Jared Ingles. His take-home is the big prize consisting of $300,736. The win also sees him collect his very first World Series of Poker Circuit Ring.

Ingles, from Prospect, Louisiana, had amassed more than $1 million in revenue before this victory. The win is the highest prize money he has received in his career. Before this, the largest cash Ingle received was $138,285. This sum was for a 56th place finish in the WOSP Main Event in 2010.

What Ingles Had to Say?

Ingles has been dedicated to playing poker since he was very young. Now 34 and reflecting on this, Ingles had been taking shots at the tournament, and he is glad to close this one out. According to him, his near-future plan is to take a break from playing poker until the poker matches in the summer.

Ingles also talked about what happened during the Cherokee Main Event. He said he believed he possessed a chance of winning it. Even though Ingles was 7th out of 17 coming into the day’s game, he still saw himself as a favorite. Exuding confidence, he said he never doubted himself.

Ingles said he would remember two folds of what happened in the game. He continued, “I laid down trip queens (k-q) in a spot where it was a really strong hand. And in another hand, I folded ace-queen to a 17 big blind shove”.

For much of the day, Ingles held a substantial chip lead. He was confident that exactly that chip lead was his way to winning the ring.

What Happened During the Day?

Seventeen players started the tournament on day 3. The play was cautious from the start. It took a whole level match for the first participant to bow out of the game. In the end, the elimination became steady until it reached the last match. Noticeably missing from this tournament was American-Ukranian poker star Evgeniy Katchalov.

Marshall White, a poker star from North Carolina, was first eliminated from the first table. He finished in 9th place. Finishing in 8th place was Rohit Kwatra; this is amazingly the same spot Kwatra finished in December’s Cherokee Main Event.

A few minutes later, John Gallaher, a four-time Circuit ring winner, fell out in 7th. Adam Ney took 6th place. Ney could not be equally good nor reach something better than the 2nd position he took in February’s Cherokee Main Event.

In 5th place was Fikret Kovac who managed to reach Cherokee Main Event final table even 3 times. He finished in the same position as he did three years ago in December. Coming in 4th place was Max Le, having scored by far the highest poker points achievement of his career before being beaten.

Robert Hover finished 3rd, the same position he took in March for the WSOPC Turning Stone Main Event. Ingles’s main challenger for the big prize was Changlong Zeng. Zeng had to settle for the second position even though at first he was in the lead.
