iGaming, also known as Internet Gaming or online casinos, has been hugely popular in New Jersey since it launched in 2013. In 2023, iGaming revenues in New Jersey reached almost $2 billion, with online slots revenue jumping 15.9% to $1.89 billion.
The Omnichannel Jackpot Connection
In an attempt to keep a level playing field between land-based casinos and online, Atlantic City properties continue to explore ways to engage with online players through their casino floors.
In February, Caesars Entertainment, Inc. and PlayAGS, Inc. celebrated the launch of the new slot game Rakin’ Bacon Odyssey. The game is a brand extension of the popular Rakin’ Bacon game, a title that’s become a fan favorite across numerous casino floors.
The new Rakin’ Bacon Odyssey embraces the idea of “omnichannel jackpots,” meaning the game’s jackpot on the casino floor is connected to online players.
International Game Technology introduced the first omnichannel wide area progressive jackpot in March 2023 with one of their Wheel of Fortune slots in New Jersey. The omnichannel setup enables players in New Jersey to spin for large-scale wins on games with a combined jackpot between the land-based and online versions of slots.
Flood of iGaming Suppliers
The U.S. has witnessed a constant flow of online game suppliers looking to penetrate iGaming states. Seven U.S. states currently allow iGaming; Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Sweden-based Supremeland Gaming, Inc., recently launched three new slot games in New Jersey. The three games, Wild Quad Squad, Red Panda Rising, and Munition Mine, are live in the Garden State through a partnership between Supremeland and EveryMatrix.
Supremeland is gaining traction for its emerging portfolio of games after obtaining a license to operate in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan.
“Our primary focus remains on the vibrant U.S. iGaming markets, and we are committed to sustaining this momentum of excitement and innovation in more states to come,” said Rickard Öhrn, CEO of Supremeland Gaming. Supremeland’s game portfolio has garnered international appeal since its debut in November 2023.
