The Best Daily Fantasy TE’s For Week 14
The following at the best daily fantasy options at tight end for week 14 of the NFL season:
Zac Ertz, Philadelphia Eagles
Zac Ertz has come on strong in recent weeks after a slow start to the season. It’s been a welcome sight for the Philadelphia Eagles who remain in contention for the NFC East title as the entire division has struggled. Ertz has over 90 yards receiving in two of the last three games which is about as good as it gets from fantasy tight ends during the 2019 season.
In week 14 Ertz will be facing a New York Giants team currently in a rebuilding phase with young talents like Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley. The Giants and Eagles face off Monday Night Football, which appeals to some fantasy players who like to chase down a win in the last game of the week.
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens
Mark Andrews wasn’t considered an elite receiving talent at the tight end position and fantasy experts did not hold him in high regard entering the 2019 season. However, the Ravens led by MVP front-runner Lamar Jackson has increased the fantasy value of every player in their offense based on the sheer number of points they score.
Andrews has seven touchdown catches on the season with four coming in the last four games. He’s played a role in the Ravens’ recent success so it’s unlikely they’ll deviate. In week 14 they’ll face the Buffalo Bills who’ve defended tight ends very well this season but they haven’t faced an offense quite like Baltimore’s making Andrews a solid play.
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs
The New England Patriots against the Kansas City Chiefs is one of the most anticipated matchups of week 14 as both teams are in first place in their divisions and projected to make the playoffs. Last year they met in the AFC Championship for the right to play in the Super Bowl in a hotly contested game which the Patriots won in overtime. Each of the last two times they’ve played the games have been high-scoring affairs resulting in huge fantasy point totals for the players involved.
Travis Kelce was named to the All Pro Team last season and is having another stellar season so it’s a safe bet he’ll be among those heavily involved. Kelce has at least seven targets in six consecutive games and has two touchdown catches in the last three games. Additionally, Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes has recovered from injury and the Chiefs are firing on all cylinders as shown in their 40-9 win over the Oakland Raiders in week 13.
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
The Chiefs against the Patriots is one big matchup in week 14. The San Francisco 49ers versus the New Orleans Saints is the other highly anticipated contest with a combined record of 20 wins and 4 losses. Kittle struggled in week 13 against Baltimore, but everyone is struggling against the Ravens these days.
Look for him to get back on track against the Saints in what could be a shootout. The game will be played indoors so winter weather won’t have any impact on teams’ ability to throw the ball. The 49ers are one of the few teams that have a tight end as their top threat in the passing game so it should be a productive week for Kittle.
